Dead Feet

This weekend we went to Big Basin for backpacking Kamp. We had to walk over 5 miles with a huge backpack filled with stuff for kamping. It felt like I was walking forever. When we got there we gobbled up a whole bag of popkorn in a second. I was eggs-hausted so I took a nap. later for dinner we ate noodles and drank hot chocolate. Then we went to sleep zzzzzzzzz......

In the morning we quickly ate oatmeal and drank hot chocolate. Then we found logs and used them as pretend bazooka guns. My gun broke my friend, Sujay's gun. Then we hiked back again. By the end of it I couldn't walk. My feet were swollen. My dad thought I was walking like a fawn, because I was walking on my toes with knees bent.

Halloween Kostume

Halloween is almost here and I can hardly wait. I love to go trick or treating. Once somebody gave me a bag of tricks instead of treats ! He was a wizard of course. But this year I am going to be Tigger the Tiger and scare everybody who gives me tricks!

We already got our huge humongous pumpkins which I cant wait to carve. We will be carving them next week when mom is gone.

Kayaking @ Koyote Point

My dad bought straps for the kayaks which meant we can load it on top of our van. We went to Coyote Point with our friends Sujay and Suki. When we go there our friends were already there and they had the same kayak.

We started kayaking towards the airport. We saw 10000000 airplanes landing at the airport - it was really awesome. We also saw the Blue Angels.

Maha, The Smooth(ie) Uncle

Maha Uncle is staying with us for a month. He took us to the movies, the restaurants and bookstores. He gifted to papa a blender called Vita-mix for Papa's birthday. He is crazy about smoothies and this blender makes great, fantastic, excellent smoothies. The blender is so powerful that it can blend anything like vegetables, fruits, cereal and even skin and seeds of these.

He took us to a movie called Ratatouille (checkout trailer). It was a comedy of a rat kook and as you know I love kooking too. Then another day he took us to Fresh Choice. I had apple soda and lots of macaroni. It was so good that I almost over ate. Then he took us to Barnes and Noble. I read Spongebob and the Stolen Crown. Then I read Spongebob and Sand Dollars.

Kommunity Bike Ride

Today we (papa, yashu and me - mummy and Simran came but didn't bike))went on a big bike ride where the whole community came. When we got there I saw Niyati and Victor. We saw the bike checkup station where my dad oiled and fixed my bike. Then everybody started to leave. I left with Victor. There were lots of twists and turns. I had a hard time getting through people who were going really slow for me. After biking for long time we reached the end line. I ate a few oranges and went back with Niyati. I finally reached back. I got some vanilla flavored frozen yogurt. I had a GREAT day.

I woke up early so we could go to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for my birthday. Satschin mama, Sharmila mami and our entire family went in our van. When we reached we saw hundreds of rides. baby rides, roller coasters and water rides. My favorite ride was Cobra. At first I was extremely scared but my papa insisted that I ride with him. After couple of times I was extremely happy because it was a lot fun. I went on it many many many times. We went to Carl's Jr. for lunch. There I had a ice cream also.

Mamma B'day

Quickly I got up and dressed in my best clothes. I ate my breakfast (cereal) and took care of Simi. Suddenly I had a brilliant idea. I took a cookie saying Happy Birthday to mummy and gave the cookie. We played scrabble for half an hour. After scrablle we went to Bel Mateo Bowl where both me and my mom got strikes. I got first place, Yash second and my mom third place. Babaji and Dadiji came too and watched us bowl. Babaji got me one strike. Then at home I played with my train set waiting for my dad to come from work. When he came, he took mommy and all of us to a restaurant called "Roti". Maha uncle also joined us there. We had to rearrange the tables there because we were so many people. I enjoyed the yummy food that we ordered. At the end ee all sang Happy Birthday to you and got dessert. Later we went home and watched a movie called Munna Bhai MBBS.

The Best Sleepover

Ding Dong !!!!! The door bell rang. Seven people were at the door, three were carrying sleeping bags. We were having a sleepover in our tent. First we put the sleeping bags in order and put the fly on. Victor and Yash did most of the work. Niyati, Priyanka and me disturbed them while working. We had to test to see if we could fit all five people in the tent, and it did. After that we fought to go on the swing. Then it was finally dinner time which we had for a long time. Then we ate desert of mango cream and toffee ice cream. Yashu was upset because he didn't want the mango cream. We watched a movie called "Free Willy" - The Rescue. Later we went back to the tent and played a word game called "Antakshri". Then we slept. In the middle of the night papa came in and sneaked in the tent.

Next morning, we played a little bit and wrapped up the tent. Priyanka broke her tooth and then lost it which made her upset. Niyati, Priyanka and Victor left before breakfast because we had to leave for Monterrey Bay Aquarium.

Today I got up reaaaalllllly late. My mom said we are going to Ryder Park. I read a little bit of my Harry Potter and then packed for Ryder Park. Me and my brother had fun playing soccer in the backyard until we were ready to go. Once we got to the park, right away I jumped into the fountain of water. We played for one whole entire hour. Then we had to go home. Denny Pa bought us some ice cream. I got everyone's favorite candybar, my brother got world-class chocolate and my grandma got vanilla-swirl. Then we went home and on the way Denny Pa showed us his home. Facts: I went with grandpa, grandma, dennypa and my brother. The place was splashing fun, watergun cool, double exciting, and super funny. The settings were home, dennypa's home, park and Baskin Robbins

Day 1: We came from school and quickly did extra packing and all of our luggage took two big cars. Our friend Vikas uncle went early to our destination Alaska, to pick up the RV. In the car we got all squished up because of the luggage and people - me, papa, mummy, and yashu and Swati aunty together with Vishalu and Carina went in the other car.

Once we reached the airport we checked-in our luggage and waited to board the plane. There was hardly anything to do on the plane except looking out the window - we got some snacks and read magazines and books. I also wrote this story of Alaska. Now my sister is screaming - waking up the whole airplane. We got to Seattle where we bought french fries and burger.

When we got to Alaska we hurried to look for the RV. Of course Vikas uncle was right there with our big RV from CruiseAmerica. It was hard to load all of our luggage. We checked the RV out and then went to a camp ground in Anchorage where we slept immediately. zzzzzzzzzz........

Day 2: Awwwww...... Today is a new day we brushed our teeth and ate breakfast in the RV. Then we played at a park next to the campground. We paid the rent and left around noon to a store. Then we headed to a state park called Thunderbird Falls where we had lunch. Then we hiked for a looooong time all the way to the falls. When we were coming back I fell asleep. Later we drove towards Talkeetna where we had dinner and then I couldn't sleep because I slept too much. We went to latitude 62 where I had a desert called Mt McKinley which had Finally I fell asleep. zzzzzzzzzz..............

Day 3: Everybody is asleep..... where is my brother, dad.... here they come - looks like they went for a early morning hike. We had a super meal for breakfast. We went to a gift shop where I got an Athabaskan flute and Yash got an Alaskan hiker hat. We took a walk to a rocky river then we got the junior ranger program. I watched a mount Mckinley movie and finished a few project in the ranger program. We ate dinner in the RV as we drove to Riley Creek.

Day 4: We are in Denlai. We see caribou and ptarmigans and lots of mountains.

First of all you can make anything. Here is an idea, get a piece of paper and white chalk and color chalk. Close your eyes and draw with white chalk. See what you made. Color it in with color chalk. Our Favorite Family Movie - Swades

Me and my family have seen the movie Swades many times. In the movie Sharukh Khan was working in America for NASA. But he always wanted to go to India becuase his babysitter was there and he missed her a lot. His manager at NASA finally let him go to India. In India, he met his friend who ran a book shop. He lent sharukh a RV to drive to his baby sitter's house. At the bookstore he meets a girl named Geeta who is a teacher but also the babysitter's helper. She gives Sharukh the wrong direction so that he wouldn't find her.

When he was on his way to the babysitter's house he met a sadhu on the way. He asked him the directions and Sadhu said I will take you and got on the van. Then they played a song which is called Yuhi Chala Chal Rahi and it is my favorite song. Everytime we go on vacation we hear it because he is going on vacation.

He finally reaches his babysitter's house where he stays for few days. He visits Geeta in the classroom. There were 16 students in the class. He went there because he always wanted to talk to her. But she doesn't like to talk to him because he is trying to take away the baby sitter. During his stay he figures out that India is very good but needs a lot of help. So he decides to make electricity for the village because it went out during a movie. Then he orders pipes and many other things to make the electricity from water - called hydro power. They first sent someone to a place where it was dark with a light bulb. They attached to the electricity pipes so it would make light if they were correct.

First time it didn't work. Sharukh then went inside the water and found some seaweed blocking it. The second time it finally worked and the light bulb lighted up brightly. After this project he had to go back to America. On his way back Geeta gave him a spice holder with spice in it. He didn't like America very much because he was missing everybody and the good time he had. So he quit his job at NASA to go back to his own people.

When he reached India he did some wrestling. THE END

EASTER Eggsitement

I had fun real fun…

Whoops!!! Did I tell you anything? Well I guess I didn’t + it’s Easter! Eggsactly! Anyways let’s have some fun in Easter my day was goody goofy good!

We went at eggsactly 10:28, brought eggs, coloring kits, and candy. We reached Joyma’s house in about ten minutes and started an egg hunt. After a while I was mad because we found all of the eggs!!!! They were in hard places all over Dennypa’s backyard. DennyPa and Jonathan helped me find some of the eggs.

Then we colored the hard boiled eggs. I colored at least ten and wrote my name on one of them. Mummy, Brandy, Jonathan, Yash and Jonathan were also doing the egg coloring with me. We ended up with lots of colored eggs in the basket which looked really nice. We ran out of space in the basket.

We then ate lunch. We had quiche, beans, muffins and yogurt for lunch. After lunch we drew and scribbled then had to go home I had fun real fun…

The Knight Bus

Harry found a wizard bus that could bring him to diagon alley where he could buy school supplies. He knew that he was doing something wrong so he said his name was Neville he had to pay five sickles to get to diagon alley then he finds Fudge and Fudge figures out that he is Harry Potter.

The Leaky Cauldron

Harry had to stay in the leaky cauldron because there were a few days till school. He bought everything he needed. When Harry waited a few days Fudge said Ron and Hermione were coming to buy there school supplies Hermione bought a cat called Crookshanks Ron bought rat tonic so his rat doesn’t sleep all the time Ron didn’t like Crookshanks because would like to eat Scabbers the rat.

The Dementor

When Harry, Ron and Hermione went on Hogwarts Express they saw a new teacher named professor Lupin. A Dementor striked Harry and Lupin gave a chocolate because it cures what Dementors do. They had finally reached Hogwarts for school they were going to the welcoming feast eating till it was over Treacle Treat for desert and then went to their dormitories they said pig snout the Gryffindor password so the fat lady

Few years back I played soccer for the first time but then I took a break in between. This year I started again because I really wanted to play soccer because I think I like it. So my mom signed me up inside AYSO which has soccer games in Foster City.

Date with Dad

Today, March 3rd 2007, me and my dad had a date. We had decided back in February but we finally got a chance now. It started when morning kame and I kept on komplaining we had to leave. We had to wait for mummy to come back from the gym.

Finally we left for our date. Oops... but we forgot to bring our library card and swimming stuff. Papa made a quick U-turn to get the stuff. Our first stop was McDonald's for breakfast. We bought two breakfast kids meal and had pancakes, hashbrown, McGriddles and chocolate milk. I also got 2 toys - they were Wee Wow Robo-pets. My dad wanted to take our photo but he had forgotten his camera.

Our next stop was going to be the library. When we got there we figured it was klosed :( . Instead we went to PJCC for swimming. We played in the water with the toy I had gotten. My dad was afraid of the cold water in the outside pool - I had to drag dad into the pool. We tried to do hand stands in the water. My dad gave me piggy back rides in the water and also kept on throwing me up in the air. Then we took a shower and went to a pet store.

I really wanted to have a pet. So we went to PETCO. We explored with one of the helpers and he said that a good pet for me was a leopard gecko. We also checked out the parakeet and a fish as a pet. I really wanted to get the leopard gecko because it was cool and I could touch it whenever I wanted. I could leave it for a long time unattended. My dad said I had to research it more and learn about taking care of it before we could buy it. I got upset so we went to Toy's R Us and bought some rocket balloons.

Finally we came back home where I played with my rocket balloons.

Miss Cherry threw her basket of seeds. Zabba Zucchini threw his bombs he played with. Some kids shouted aliens ate my homework. No one had an idea how to stop them. Mr. Banana threw army soldiers at the aliens. Mr. Mango threw bottles of juice. The team of pumpkin pastries tried to bully the aliens. Everybody was helping to attack. Some poeple took shelter in juice world, Six Chocolates and Parsley World. Chicken Lickin' threw some soup out of his can and slid down the electricity line to Six Chocolates. The Teacher Orange Juice threw student note books. All the aliens defended with force field guards

Part 1 finally helps me understand the meaning of some of the words used in part 2 like Quidditch (a game), defense against the dark arts, baslik, etc.

Harry Potter escaped a pure evil lord nicknamed "he who must not be named" when he was a baby. All he had left was a lightening shaped scar, which made him famous for wizards. Harry gets hundreds of cards from Hogwarts but the people he lives with don't like wizards and burn all the cards he gets. They move very far away and the wizards still deliver cards.

Then finally a wizard from the school comes to take Harry. He tells him what wizard books he needs and supplies. When Harry goes to Hogwarts he gets sorted into a house. There are 4 houses Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff and Harry gets sorted into Gryffindor. To get inducted he had to sing a song: “Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts……..” Everyone started the welcoming feast. Percy the prefect told everybody inside Gryffindor the password to get into the common room. He whispered “pig snout”.

After a month strange things start happening at Hogwarts and Harry figures out that Prof. Quirell is trying to get the Sorcerer’s stone to make gold. Although before he thought it was Prof. Snape because he was always bad to Harry.

Before Slytherin had won the house cup but then Neville, Harry, Hermoine and Ronald got extra points for guarding the stone. So Gryffindor won the house cup instead.

I liked this book because I was interested in how Harry escaped he who must not be named and got to Hogwarts. I also got lots of ideas for my own book.

Harry Potter - part II: The Chamber of Secrets

I read the second Harry Potter book first because that was the only one I could get right away.

In Harry's second year at Hogwarts strange things happen. He speaks and understands snake language. He hears monsters coming from the Chamber of Secrets. He hears them inside human voice. Lots of people get attacked while the monster called Baslik was let go.

Then finally Harry figures out that Ron's sister Ginny Weasly opened the Chamber of Secrets - which is a Chamber inside the girl's bathroom. He also figures out Tom Marvalo Riddle is "he who must not be named"'s helper and is trying to kill Harry. He saves Ginny and kills the monster called the Baslik.

This book was really mysterious and exciting and pulled me into the story so much so that I could not put it down. I am now really looking forward to reading the first Harry Potter book and all the others in the series.

This Means I Won the Lotto

One day when we were eating in a restaurant my dad wanted to buy some drinks from the mini-mart. I went with dad and there I asked dad to buy me and my brother a lottery ticket. We had to fill a form to choose our numbers and turn into a lottery ticket. I chose 25 as my Mega number and 7 18 21 34 40.

We decided to watch Super Lotto on TV on Saturday night. We missed the show but checked on the Lotto website and I got two numbers correct on my ticket.

THIS MEANS I WON !!!!!!

I won $2 and decided to buy a lottery ticket with that money. This time I didn't win anything. But it was all a lot of fun.

Field Trip to the PLANETARIUM

The third graders were studying planets and because I am in a mixed class we all got to go to the planetarium. On our way, I sat next to my best friend Leon. Leon’s mom was driving us for this field trip. We were going to San Mateo College Planetarium. At first I was curious about the planetarium but when we got there it looked very boring, it was all white on the outside and there was nothing to do. We had to wait a long time outside before we got in.

Finally when we got in it looked very cool – it looked like a theater and the theater part was a dome. But everything we did was not cool at all. We were given special glasses which are used by astronomers. These glasses help identify the kind of gas a star is made up of – neon, helium and hydrogen are some of those gases. Then we watched a movie which showed How the Universe began – Did you know that the whole universe was created with a ‘BIG BANG’? Then it talked about all of the galaxies and planets in our Solar System. It also talked about the asteroid belt and the stars. I thought it was really interesting to learn about the stars but everything else I didn’t care much about. I also have a planet puzzle which I never liked.

My Piggy Bank Pops and Graduates

One day my dad told me and my brother to race to a thousand dollars to get more dollars. I knew that my piggy bank wouldn't hold a thousand dollars - so I got a bank account inside Citibank.

The first time I deposited $140 which I got from my dad and my grandmother. I plan to save all my money inside the bank.

Saving money is a good thing and I hope you will do too.

My Field Trip to Woodside Store

My second field trip from school at Woodside Store was the best! (My first field trip before I started blogging was Redwood Grove Nature preserve). After reading in class we got to go in the school bus to the Woodside Store. My whole class went and I sat next to Leon, my friend.

Once we got there we had to wait long to do the activities, so we ate our snacks. Outside we started playing with toys that children played with when the store was made. When we finally got in we watched a slide show on all the people that came before us. Then we did a treasure hunt where we had to get the right object that was hidden in the store. Then we split up into three groups for three activities - being a shopkeeper from before, cutting wood shingles, and washing clothes like before. We first washed clothes and hanged them to dry. Then we got to be shopkeepers and get all of the things on the customer's list unlike today where the customer has to bring their own stuff. If you wanted a shirt you would have to take length and width and then give it to the shopkeeper - shopkeeper will give it to San Francisco who makes the T-shirt. Then we went into Doctor Trips and dentist office and we got to see some real teeth that were found underneath the store. Then we made shingles outside to make the roof of the house or store by smashing a big piece of wood on to a saw then the saw cuts a shingle off. After that we had to go back to school.

I really liked the store and the activities because it was Kreative just like me!!!!
